About Vertex9 Managed Services

Enterprise-grade IT built for UK businesses — delivering the infrastructure, security and support that ambitious organisations need to grow with confidence.

Our Story

Built by Engineers Who Were Tired of the Gap

Vertex9 was founded by a team of experienced IT engineers who had spent years working deep inside enterprise environments — deploying the infrastructure, security stacks and support models that FTSE 100 companies depend on. They saw first-hand what genuinely robust IT looked like. And they noticed something that frustrated them every time: smaller UK businesses couldn’t access it.

The market was split. At one end, enterprise-grade solutions priced only for large corporations with dedicated IT departments and six-figure budgets. At the other, under-resourced managed service providers offering reactive, break-fix support with minimal security and no strategic direction. For ambitious small and mid-sized businesses, there was almost nothing in between.

Vertex9 was built to close that gap. The founding team’s vision was straightforward: bring the same standard of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and proactive support that enterprises rely on to growing UK businesses — at a price point that makes sense for organisations of 5 to 500 users. Not a watered-down version. The real thing.

Today, Vertex9 is registered in England and Wales (), headquartered in London, and serves businesses across the UK. Every client — regardless of size — receives senior-engineer-level support, enterprise-grade tooling and a proactive managed service model that prevents problems before they become outages.

Our Mission

What drives every decision we make and every service we deliver

To make enterprise-quality IT accessible to every UK business, regardless of size. To proactively protect, connect and empower organisations through technology — so that IT becomes a competitive advantage, not a liability.

We believe that the size of a company should never determine the quality of IT it can access. A business with 30 employees deserves the same standard of security, infrastructure and support as one with 3,000. That conviction shapes every service we offer, every engineer we hire, and every technology partner we choose to work with.

We don’t just fix problems. We build IT environments that are resilient, secure and aligned with where your business is going. We monitor proactively, advise strategically and support relentlessly — 365 days a year, around the clock.

Protect

Defend your business from cyber threats, data breaches and downtime through proactive monitoring, enterprise-grade security tooling and continuous threat intelligence.

Connect

Build fast, reliable and secure networks that connect your teams, offices, cloud environments and partners — wherever they are across the UK and beyond.

Empower

Enable your people to do their best work through reliable systems, seamless collaboration tools and strategic IT advice that drives measurable business outcomes.

Our Values

The principles that define how we work and how we treat every client

01

Proactive Over Reactive

Waiting for things to break is not a strategy. We monitor, detect and remediate issues before they affect your business. Our tools watch your environment 24 hours a day so your team can focus on what they do best. A problem prevented is always better than a problem solved.

02

Transparency in Everything

No hidden fees. No jargon-heavy reports designed to confuse. No surprise invoices. You will always know what your IT costs, what we’re doing and why. We provide real-time dashboards, monthly reporting and quarterly business reviews — because you deserve full visibility over your IT investment.

03

UK-First, Always

Every engineer who picks up your support call is based in the UK. Every data centre we use is on UK soil. Every recommendation we make is compliant with UK regulation, including GDPR and the NCSC Cyber Essentials framework. We are a UK business serving UK businesses — no offshoring, no exceptions.

04

Continuous Improvement

Technology evolves and so do we. Our engineers pursue ongoing certifications, our tools are kept current, and our service offering is regularly reviewed against the market. We challenge ourselves to deliver better outcomes for clients year on year — not to maintain the status quo.

05

People Over Process

We are an IT company built by engineers, not a call centre operation. When something goes wrong, we send a person who understands your environment — not a ticket number and a script. Processes exist to support great service, not replace human judgement. Every client has a named account manager who knows their business.

Why Choose Vertex9

The differences that matter — compared to a generic IT company or traditional break-fix provider

All Engineers Based in the UK

Every member of our support team is UK-based. No offshore call centres, no language barriers, no routing your ticket through three continents. When you call at 2am on a Sunday, a qualified UK engineer answers.

24/7/365 Support — Not Just Mon–Fri

Cyber incidents, hardware failures and critical outages do not observe business hours. Our helpdesk operates around the clock, every day of the year, with guaranteed response times. Critical issues: under 15 minutes. No exceptions.

Fixed Monthly Pricing — No Bill Shock

Our managed service packages are priced per user, per month. You know exactly what IT costs before the month begins. No surprise call-out fees, no hidden charges for after-hours work, no penalties for raising support tickets. Predictable IT spend, always.

Proactive Monitoring — Catch Issues Before They Bite

Our remote monitoring platform watches your servers, endpoints, networks and backups around the clock. When an anomaly is detected, we investigate and resolve it — usually before you’ve noticed anything is wrong. Most clients see a 40% reduction in IT incidents within the first six months.

Senior Engineers on Every Ticket

We do not operate a tiered Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3 gatekeeping model. Every ticket is handled by an engineer with the skills and authority to resolve it. No scripted troubleshooting steps, no unnecessary escalations. Your time is not wasted and your issues are not passed around.

Strategic IT Advice Included — Not Break-Fix

Managed service clients receive a dedicated Virtual IT Director as part of their package. We attend quarterly business reviews, advise on technology roadmaps, identify cost savings and help you plan IT investment. We are a strategic partner — not a helpdesk you only call when something breaks.

Our Technology Partners

We build solutions on industry-leading platforms — selected for reliability, security and long-term vendor stability

Cloud & Productivity

Microsoft

Microsoft is at the core of most UK business IT environments, and for good reason. As a Microsoft partner, we deploy and manage Microsoft 365 — including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive — alongside Azure cloud infrastructure for compute, storage, virtual networks and identity management via Azure Active Directory. Our engineers hold Microsoft certifications across the platform, ensuring your Microsoft environment is configured securely, optimised for cost, and maintained to best-practice standards.

Client benefit: A fully managed, secure and cost-optimised Microsoft 365 and Azure environment with ongoing licencing guidance and zero configuration drift.
Network Security & SD-WAN

Fortinet

Fortinet is one of the world’s leading network security vendors, and our partnership enables us to deploy their FortiGate next-generation firewalls, FortiClient endpoint security, FortiSIEM, and Fortinet’s SD-WAN and SASE solutions across client environments. Fortinet’s Security Fabric architecture gives us a unified, integrated security platform that covers network perimeter, endpoints, cloud connectivity and operational technology (OT) environments. For clients requiring Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) or secure remote working at scale, Fortinet is our recommended platform.

Client benefit: Enterprise-grade firewall protection, SD-WAN cost savings over traditional MPLS, and a unified security fabric across all network layers.
Enterprise Networking & AI Wi-Fi

Juniper Networks

Juniper Networks delivers enterprise-grade switching, routing and wireless networking used by some of the world’s largest organisations. Our partnership with Juniper enables us to deploy Mist AI-driven Wi-Fi — an industry-leading wireless platform that uses machine learning to self-optimise coverage, detect interference and reduce connectivity issues before users notice them. For core network infrastructure, Juniper’s EX Series switching and MX Series routing provide the high-performance, carrier-class reliability that growing UK businesses need as they scale.

Client benefit: AI-driven wireless networks that self-heal, combined with enterprise switching infrastructure that delivers consistent, low-latency performance at every location.
Switching & Routing

Cisco

Cisco remains the gold standard for enterprise networking infrastructure. We design and deploy Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching, Cisco ISR routing platforms, and Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking for clients who need centralised visibility and control across multiple sites. Cisco’s portfolio is particularly well suited to businesses with complex multi-site requirements, regulated environments demanding audit trails and fine-grained network segmentation, and organisations integrating on-premises infrastructure with public cloud environments. Our Cisco-certified engineers ensure every deployment follows current best-practice hardening guides.

Client benefit: Proven, reliable switching and routing infrastructure with centralised cloud management, deep security integrations and decades of proven enterprise performance.
Backup & Disaster Recovery

Veeam

Veeam is the global leader in backup and data protection, trusted by over 450,000 organisations worldwide. Our Veeam partnership allows us to deliver comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions covering virtual machines, physical servers, cloud workloads, Microsoft 365 data and NAS storage. We implement the 3-2-1-1-0 backup rule — three copies of data, on two different media, with one offsite, one immutable copy, and zero unverified backups — to ensure that ransomware, hardware failure or accidental deletion can never put your business data at permanent risk. All backups are regularly tested as part of our managed DR service.

Client benefit: Verified, recoverable backups across all workloads with tested disaster recovery runbooks that get you back online in minutes, not days.
Firewall & Threat Protection

SonicWall

SonicWall specialises in network security solutions built specifically for small and mid-sized businesses that need enterprise-grade protection without enterprise-grade complexity or price tags. Our SonicWall partnership enables us to deploy and manage SonicWall TZ and NSa Series firewalls, SonicWall Capture ATP (Advanced Threat Protection) with cloud sandboxing, and SonicWall’s secure access solutions for remote workers. SonicWall’s Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI) technology catches advanced threats, including zero-day attacks and encrypted malware, that signature-based tools miss entirely.

Client benefit: Real-time threat protection against advanced and zero-day attacks, with centralised management and full visibility across your network perimeter.
